This modern version of the classic 6120 Chet Atkins Hollow Body guitar features a 16"-wide, 2.5"-deep full hollow body, rock maple neck, ebony fingerboard with Neo-Classic™ "thumbnail" inlays, dual High Sensitive Filter'Tron™ pickups, Grover® Rotomatic® machine heads, Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, and Bigsby® B6G vibrato tailpiece. The F-40 Valencia is an incredibly well-balanced guitar, sensitive to light picking or heavy strumming.

Introduced in 1954, the F-40 Valencia featured a uniquely compact body shape (slightly larger than the F-30 Aragon) made of a spruce top, and arched maple back and maple sides. Like its cousin, the Valencia is an incredibly well-balanced guitar, sensitive to light picking or heavy strumming. It is now being built as its early '60s version, complete with mahogany back and sides.

The new and beautiful F-40 Valencia has the original grand orchestra body based on the 1954 F-40 Valencia model, all solid woods, 16" lower bout, red spruce top and bracing, mahogany back and sides. Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, bone bridge pins, tortoise binding, 1-11/16" nut, lacquer finish, available in Natural, Antique Burst, and Ice Tea Burst.

Guild® is also proud to introduce and feature the NEW F-40 Valencia with D-Tar® Wave-Length™ pickup and pre-amp from D-TAR®, with the exclusive Load ‘N Lock™ battery access. Wave-Length™ is D-TAR’s NEW under-saddle pickup system that combines a thin, piezo transducer with an 18-volt, low-noise, high-input impedance preamp.
